This meeting, we discussed about effective and ineffective. For me, the materials discussed are very interesting and certainly very useful for me. We learn how to teach effectively and how the students can understand the lessons that have been given by the teacher.
we do some activities such as sketches and watch video sessions as well. We also had a discussion about teaching for understanding.
We discuss how to guide students associated with their prior knowledge and relate their prior knowledge with new material that they will get. We also discuss the stages of Bloom’s Taxonomy.
After discussion is completed, we watched the video learning. The video shows how TEMATIK teaching in the classroom. The video is very interesting for me. Effective teaching can be seen from an interesting way of learning. So that students can be active in class. But we should not forget the main purpose of learning.
The video is to show to me about the teaching of effective and ineffective in the classroom begins with elementary students. We must know that a fun activity in teaching and learning does not mean we do effective teaching because sometimes we forget the purpose for the activity. So we should set a more creative activities that can effectively manage students’ learning.
Maybe that’s my reflection on this second meeting.
